The corrosion resistance mechanism and advantages of zinc aluminum alloy: under the same coating thickness and outdoor atmospheric conditions, the contact resistance of shovel type aluminum coating is 3-5 times that of ordinary galvanized coating. After a period of time, the corrosion rate of zinc aluminum alloy will significantly decrease compared to ordinary galvanizing. It can reduce the thickness of the zinc layer by 20%, which is more conducive to improving the drawing conditions and improving production efficiency. The corrosion mechanism is that after corrosion begins, the surface zinc layer is corroded until the surface is rich in aluminum. The corrosion resistance comes from the rich aluminum anti-corrosion oxidation film, and the appearance of red rust will be greatly delayed. In certain environments, it can be used instead of stainless steel.

Corrosion preventive is higher much than galvanized steel wire rope. It can keep the surface for more than 360hours under salt fog corrosion test (it only keep the surface for 48-96hours for galvanized steel wire rope. It is as an alernative to stainless steel wire rope, but the prices are lower than the prices of stainless steel wire rope.
